October Update

What an amazing season we’ve had. Still hoping for another month of tennis but we are now at the mercy of Mother Nature. I would like to thank Olivier, Ethan, McGregor and James for their incredible hard work and dedication this season. Very privileged to have worked alongside these gentlemen. I would like to thank Michael Pederson for his 2 year term as President.  Michael has served tirelessly during his tenure as President, exhibiting what it truly means to be a member of the Elmdale community. I would also like to congratulate Cathy Goldsbrough of her appointment to President for the 2018 season. I would like to recognize the efforts of the Board of Directors. A HUGE thank you to Catherine, Cathy, Pavel, Nigel, Grant, Phil for making this season as awesome as it was. Many hours were put in helping out at various events, making important club decisions and making sure the club is running smoothly for years to come. A big shoutout to Rachel Cruickshank for another awesome
year as club pro. Good luck in the winter! I would like to thank the summer camp staff for another fantastic summer. Lots of smiles and energy were brought into the club. I would finally like to you, the Elmdale community for making Elmdale Tennis Club the special place that it is. I have had the pleasure and honour of servicing the club for the past 3 years. I’ve learned and grown immensely from time here. I will cherish the conversations, chirps and hits moving forward. My advice for next year: come out to events, hit with someone who you’ve never hit with before, encourage your fellow tennis player, continue being the positive influences that you are. Elmdale is a very special place and so lets keep it that way.

Here are some final notes for the end of the season.

Hours change

The clubhouse’s new hours are 9am-10pm starting this Monday.

Happy to announce that the classic fall event is back! Saturday October 14th.  Round robin starts at 2pm. Cake, BBQ and merry times will follow. The beer fridge needs to be emptied! We need your help. Lets celebrate the fantastic year we’ve had. No need to RSVP, just show up!

Clean up day

The annual clean up day is set for Saturday Oct 21st from 10am-4pm. Any help is greatly appreciated! Come out with your fellow Elmdale members to get the clubhouse ready for the winter. Pizza will be served.

Thank you and have a very Happy Thanksgiving,
